DECADES OF LOVE EXTENDED

In February of 1956, Cross Church began as North Richland Hills Baptist Church, a mission sent from Richland Hills Baptist Church. Since then, our church has grown in membership and kingdom influence in the Mid-Cities. To meet the needs of growing communities, our church planted Northwood Church in the Fall of 1985. To continue outreach to the fast-growing city of Fort Worth, Cross Church launched Cornerstone Counseling in 1988.

We call Fort Worth home, but consider the world our neighborhood. From the very beginning, we’ve had one focus: extending the love of Jesus Christ to the people of our community and beyond. As such, our church has been affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention since our beginning. We believe we are better together, and what makes Southern Baptists so strong and strategic is our joint partnership for the cause of missions and evangelism. As a Southern Baptist Church, we provide financial support to The Cooperative Program, which helps fund the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, Disaster Relief efforts, and our Southern Baptist seminaries. In the years to come, we plan to continue and build on this great legacy.

Continuing the process of sending members to establish a new mission, through the vision of Pastor Scott Maze, and the leading of the Holy Spirit, our church became focused on starting a new work in North Fort Worth. After a year of praying and planning, we launched our second location on Easter Sunday of 2014. Our permanent facility and worship location is now open on Highway 287, between Blue Mound Road and Bonds Ranch Road.

As a multi-generational church community, we meet needs through a variety of worship experiences, Bible Fellowship Groups, and discipleship options, mission opportunities, fellowship, and outreach events. We hope you will join us!
